Basketball rocks

Basketball rocks at the Olympics.

My favourite Olympic Sport is basketball. This sport is played on the basketball court which can be indoors or outdoors. It is a team sport. There are ten active members in the team but only five players are on the court at any one time. The current Olympic champions for basketball is USA in both the men’s and women’s teams.

Basketball is my favourite sport because you run around and it makes you fit and healthy. It keeps you slim and trim.

Another reason basketball is a good sport is because you get a lot of money. If you are good you also get famous too. Everyone in the world knows you.

The next reason it is my favourite sport is that it is fun to play and it is exciting. It makes me happy when I play.

Finally, basketball is my favourite sport because I just love the thrill and enjoyment I get from both watching and playing the game.

From the reasons I have given above, you can see that  basketball is my best sport in the Olympics.  I loved watching it being played on the courts. I was shouting for New Zealand, but unfortunately USA won the gold medal.

Our new netbooks

30 July 2012

Walt: Write an exciting narrative using descriptive words and an exciting starting.

Dear Mum
It was such a beautiful day because we got our netbooks given to us in the school hall. I didn’t expect the decorations when we got our netbooks, I had goose bumps because I was excited. We watched a movie that was
about getting our netbooks. I enjoyed receiving the netbook that I got.

The netbook is going to help me so I can look up on things on the Internet. I will do my school work on the netbook now and get better at using the netbook.

Thank you again Mum.

Your son,
Patara.

The Olympics

THE OLYMPIC 2012

The weeks have come and the weeks have gone. Medals lost and medals won. People laughing, people crying. Joy and sadness every morn.

The many sports that they compete in running, jumping, lifting, swimming, sailing, shooting, and scoring. Bring them medals of bronze, silver and gold.
